do you keep a spare raw water impeller on the boat all season? I do now. Tiny part and if it goes you are done motoring until it gets sorted.

Yep. impeller plus the gasket or o ring and the exact screwdriver or socket for the cover. I learned the hard way that owning the spare does not help much if the cover screws need a tool you left at home.

I tried changing mine at the dock once just to see if I could. Glad I did because access was worse than I expected. I keep a photo of the manual page on my phone now.
