thinking about making Kenosha my first overnight out of Waukegan. close enough that I am not committing to some huge trip, but still feels like a real overnight. anybody done it as a first one? mostly wondering about the entrance and transient slips.

Kenosha is a pretty easy first run imo. I would pick the day based on the return forecast more than anything. Getting there is one thing. Coming back Sunday in a nasty north wind is where the fun disappears.

I am new enough that even plugging into shore power somewhere unfamiliar still feels like part of the adventure lol. Kenosha is on my list too. Would love to hear if the transient docks are easy to sort out when you get there.
